Beaulieu Vineyard Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is Napa Valley's first cult Cabernet, a legendary wine dating back to its inaugural 1936 vintage. This flagship wine was shaped by legendary winemaker André Tchelistcheff, who steered the winery for 35 years and established the benchmark for California Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2021 vintage earned Wine Spectator's #2 Wine of the Year designation with 95 points, praised for being "packed with dark, winey flavors of black currant and blackberry paste" alongside notes of alder, sweet tobacco, warm paving stone, black licorice, and a violet accent. Critics awarded exceptional scores including 98 points from Decanter, 98+ from Jeb Dunnuck, and 98 from James Suckling.

This wine is composed of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot. Fermentation occurs in a combination of stainless steel and concrete vessels to preserve fruit character, followed by 20 months of aging in 95% new French oak barrels. It displays a deep ruby hue with aromas of plum, black cherry, lilac, licorice, and tobacco. The palate exhibits monumental structure with excellent concentration and refined tannins. Best served at 58°F after decanting for one hour.
