This 750ml bottle features a sumptuous red wine produced entirely from grapes cultivated at Gainey's Home Ranch in eastern Santa Ynez Valley. The wine boasts fragrant black cherry and dark plum aromas mingled with appealing vanilla, milk chocolate, and light herbal scents.

Juicy and succulent on the palate, the concentrated dark cherry, plum, and cassis flavors gain a zesty tea-leaf spice tone in the long, savory finish. Beautifully balanced with supple tannins, this Merlot is delicious on release with poultry, duck, game, and beef dishes, and handsomely rewards an additional 3-4 years of bottle aging.

Gainey Vineyard was established in 1984 by the Gainey family, who purchased 1,800 acres of undeveloped land in the eastern end of Santa Ynez Valley in 1962. All wines are 100% estate grown and sustainably produced from three family ranches, each offering a unique combination of soil types, microclimate, and sun exposure.
