A.A. Badenhorst Secateurs Chenin Blanc is a Swartland white wine from South Africa, crafted by cousins Hein and Adi Badenhorst at their Kalmoesfontein farm in the Paardeberg mountain area. The grapes are sourced from old bushvines and the wine is fermented and aged in a combination of concrete tanks and old oak casks for seven months on the lees, building texture and complexity.

The nose offers savoury herbs, salt, pear, stone fruit, and meadow blossoms with hints of fennel. The palate is textured and waxy, with layers of almond, pear, honeycomb, melon, and citrus pith. Named after the French word for pruning shears, Secateurs pays tribute to the vineyard workers who tend the vines through the cold Cape winters.

Named "Best Value South African White" by Tim Atkin MW in his South Africa Report 2024, this wine is produced using organic and biodynamic farming practices. It pairs well with seafood, poultry, and light salads.
