Tapiz Alta Collection Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium red wine sourced from the San Pablo estate vineyard in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina, situated at approximately 4,200–4,430 feet above sea level. The blend is composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, hand-picked from high-altitude vines that produce intensely concentrated fruit.
The wine is crafted by winemakers Fabian Valenzuela and the renowned Jean Claude Berrouet of Pomerol, France. It is aged for 10–12 months in a combination of 90% French and 10% American oak barrels of first and second use, adding complexity and structure. The residual sugar is just 3.6 g/L, resulting in a dry, sophisticated profile. Alcohol content is 13.9%.
On the nose, the wine offers aromas of black cherry, cocoa, coffee, licorice, spice, and violets. The palate is medium to full-bodied with flavors of black fruit, dark chocolate, black olives, earth, and minerals. The texture is smooth with good acidity, grippy tannins, and a long, dry finish featuring lingering tobacco and dark fruit notes. Imported by Vino Del Sol.
