Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is a Tennessee whiskey produced at the historic Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, established in 1866. This product comes packaged in an elegant decorative gift tin, making it ideal for gifting occasions and special celebrations. The whiskey is crafted using the distinctive Lincoln County Process, where it is filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before aging in new charred oak barrels, creating a smooth, mellow character that sets Tennessee whiskey apart from bourbon.
The mash bill consists of 80% corn, 12% rye, and 8% malted barley, distilled in copper stills and aged in handcrafted oak barrels. This charcoal mellowing process removes impurities and the harsh taste of corn, resulting in a characteristically smooth whiskey with notes of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and a clean finish. The 1.75L bottle size provides exceptional value for gatherings and entertaining.
Jack Daniel's Old No. 7, also known as Black Label, is the original and flagship product of the brand, bottled at 80 proof (40% alcohol by volume). The square bottle design, introduced in 1897, was intended to convey a sense of fairness and integrity. The whiskey draws its water from a natural spring at the base of a limestone cliff in Stillhouse Hollow, where the limestone naturally removes iron, making it ideal for distilling premium whiskey.
