This sumptuous tawny port displays an amber brown color with rusty orange tints around the rim, characteristic of its extended wood aging. The wine presents rich flavors of prune, raisin, fig, and dried fruit, complemented by nutty notes and hints of caramel. Spicy plums and bright acidity balance the soft, sweet character, with cinnamon and baking spice notes leading to a warm, lingering finish. At 20% alcohol by volume, this fortified wine provides both sweetness and complexity.

As is traditional in Portugal, this aged tawny port is a blend of older wines that offer complexity and younger wines that bring fresh fruit flavors and vibrancy. During the long maturation period in oak casks, the wine's deep red hue gradually transforms to a paler reddish amber color while developing a full, nutty bouquet. Professional wine critic Roger Voss describes it as moving to the fruity side while hinting at wood aging and concentrating on spicy plums with a soft, sweet character.
