Kiwi berries are small, bite-sized kiwis about the size of a large grape with smooth, edible skin that requires no peeling. They offer a bright, sweet and slightly acidic flavor similar to regular kiwis, with the softer berries being sweeter than firmer ones. These berries are harvested from late September through early October and should be stored refrigerated for up to seven days, or left at room temperature for a few days to soften and develop optimal sweetness.

Kiwi berries are exceptionally nutrient-dense, containing high levels of vitamin C (higher than regular kiwifruit), vitamin E, vitamin B8, magnesium, potassium, and dietary fiber. The edible skin contains up to 15 times more antioxidants than the fruit pulp. They can be enjoyed fresh as a snack, added to salads or fruit salads, used as cake toppings or tart fillings, or as cocktail garnishes.
