Organic Cripps Pink apples are a premium, late-season variety developed in Western Australia in the 1980s by John Cripps through a cross between Golden Delicious and Lady Williams apples. These USDA-certified organic apples are grown without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers, using sustainable, all-natural farming practices.
Each apple features a striking bright pink to red blush over a golden-green base, with firm, fine-grained ivory flesh that delivers an exceptionally crisp and juicy bite. Cripps Pink apples are prized for their distinctive high-sugar, high-acid balance that produces a flavor profile starting with a pleasant tartness and finishing with a sweet, floral, honeyed complexity. They are one of the longest-storing apple varieties and maintain their crispness and flavor exceptionally well after harvest.
These apples are ideal for fresh snacking, salads, cheese boards, and baking. Their firm flesh holds its shape beautifully in pies, tarts, and crisps, making them a versatile kitchen staple. Note that only Cripps Pink apples meeting strict size, color, and quality criteria may be marketed under the Pink Lady® brand name. This 4-pound bag from Costco offers excellent value for a premium organic apple variety.
