Villa Antinori Toscana Red is a distinguished Italian red wine from the Toscana IGT appellation in Tuscany, crafted by Marchesi Antinori — one of the world's most storied winemaking families with a legacy spanning over 600 years, dating back to 1385. First created in 1928 by Marchese Niccolò Antinori as the family's signature wine, Villa Antinori represents the very identity and continuity of the Antinori name. The wine is a harmonious blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah grapes, all grown, harvested, and vinified on Antinori's Tuscan estates.
Grapes are destemmed, gently crushed, and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks over 5–7 days, with skin maceration lasting 8–12 days to extract color and supple tannins. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to French and Hungarian oak barriques for aging, where it develops its signature complexity.
In the glass, Villa Antinori pours an intense ruby red. On the nose, ripe fruit aromas — black cherry, plum, and dark berries — mingle with toasty, chocolate, and vanilla notes imparted by the oak aging. The palate is medium-bodied and mouth-filling, with lively freshness, smooth tannins, and a persistent finish with hints of spice and coffee. At 14% ABV, it pairs beautifully with pasta dishes, roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses.
