Claritin-D 12 Hour Extended Release Tablets combine an antihistamine and nasal decongestant to provide relief from multiple allergy symptoms. This non-drowsy formula temporarily relieves sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, itchy nose or throat, nasal congestion, and sinus pressure caused by allergies or the common cold. Each tablet contains 5 mg of loratadine as an antihistamine and 120 mg of pseudoephedrine sulfate as a nasal decongestant.
The extended release formula provides 12 hours of relief with each tablet. Claritin-D is the number one pharmacist recommended adult multi-symptom allergy product. The tablets are small and easy to swallow, with fast-acting relief typically beginning within 30 minutes. This medication is available behind the pharmacy counter without a prescription in most states, as required by the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005 which regulates retail sales of products containing pseudoephedrine. Valid identification is required for purchase.
