Muga Rioja Reserva is a classic Spanish red wine from Bodegas Muga, a family-owned winery founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño in the Rioja Alta region of Spain. This Reserva is crafted under the DOCa Rioja appellation and represents the hallmark of traditional Riojan winemaking.

The wine is a blend of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, 6% Mazuelo, and 4% Graciano. Grapes are fermented in oak vats with a seven-day maceration, then aged for 24 months in barrel — 80% French oak and the remainder from central Europe and America — before bottling and further cellar ageing.

On the nose, it delivers intense and complex aromas of raspberry, blackberry, sour cherry, balsamic notes, and vanilla, with hints of liquorice, cocoa, and ripe fruit from barrel ageing. The palate is dry and medium- to full-bodied with fine, slightly chalky tannins, a juicy, fruit-forward core, and a long, bright finish showing graphite, dark chocolate, and blackberry. A benchmark Rioja with excellent balance of fruit, structure, and oak.
