K Vintners "The Beautiful" Syrah is a distinctive Washington State red wine from the acclaimed Walla Walla Valley appellation, produced by winemaker Charles Smith under his K Vintners label. Smith founded K Vintners in 2001 at the base of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla and has earned Winemaker of the Year honors from both Wine Enthusiast (2014) and Food and Wine (2009), with hundreds of wines scoring 90+ points from major critics.

"The Beautiful" is crafted primarily from Syrah grown at Powerline Vineyard, co-fermented with a small percentage of Viognier to add floral complexity and aromatic lift. The wine is hand-picked, fermented using naturally occurring yeasts, and basket pressed — a minimalist, terroir-driven approach that defines K Vintners' style. Across vintages, the wine has earned critical acclaim including 95-point scores from Jeb Dunnuck, praised for its notes of blackcurrants, sliced strawberries, cured meats, and dried herbs, with a seamless, elegant structure and the ability to age gracefully over 3–4 years. Other vintage notes describe aromas of tea leaves, roses, pomegranate, wet earth, and peach, with medium body, silky texture, and finely grained peppery tannins.
