Turano Pane Turano is a 32-ounce sliced Italian bread loaf from Turano Baking Company, a family bakery founded in Chicago in 1962 by Mariano Turano, who immigrated from Calabria, Italy and brought authentic Italian bread-making traditions from his hometown of Cosenza. The Pane Turano is the original recipe upon which the entire Turano Baking Company was built, and it has set the standard for all of their artisan quality breads.

Each loaf is made with care and baked to create a crispy golden crust, then dusted with flour to give it the authentic handcrafted appearance Turano is known for. The round, basket-style loaf is pre-sliced for convenience and delivers generous portions ideal for sandwiches, garlic bread, paninis, or as a hearty table bread accompaniment.

For crispness, remove slices from the bag, place the desired portion in a toaster, and toast to the desired color. For extended storage, keep the bread in its plastic bag and place fresh, non-heated bread in the freezer; remove as needed and thaw at room temperature. Do not refrigerate.
