Produced by the historic Fontanafredda estate, this wine is crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes sourced exclusively from the celebrated La Rosa vineyard, which sits within the estate's monopole MGA (Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva) — the only MGA in Barolo named after a winery rather than a geographic location, granting Fontanafredda unparalleled control over their terroir.

The wine receives extended aging per Barolo DOCG regulations, with a minimum of 38 months total aging including 18 months in bottle. Vigna La Rosa is renowned for producing wines of particular elegance and floral character, expressing Nebbiolo at its most refined: nuanced rose petal aromas, bright cherry fruit, and notes of earth and tobacco, with the balanced acidity and tightly knit tannins that define great Barolo.
