Herradura Colección de la Casa Reserva 2016 Port Cask Finished Reposado Tequila 750ML

Tequila Herradura Colección de la Casa, Reserva 2016 is the fifth limited-edition expression in Herradura's small-batch Colección de la Casa series, a port cask-finished reposado crafted at Casa Herradura in Amatitán, Jalisco — the last true tequila-producing hacienda in Mexico. This 750ML bottle is a reintroduction of the acclaimed Reserva 2012 expression and represents one of the brand's most celebrated innovations.

Made from 100% blue agave hand-harvested at peak maturity, the tequila is first aged for 11 months in medium-char American oak casks, then finished for an additional two months in hand-selected vintage port casks from the renowned Douro Valley in Portugal. Natural yeast fermentation amid the warm breeze and citrus trees of Casa Herradura is entirely unique in the industry and imparts a distinctive character. Bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).

The nose presents an enticing balance of sophisticated smoky notes, warm tobacco, dried fruit, and a hint of spice. On the palate, the distinctive taste of oak-aged agave is complemented by hints of rich port, plum, and pepper. The finish is smooth with undertones of dark chocolate. The double-maturation process delivers notes of cooked agave, dried fruit, ripe plum, cinnamon, caramel, and chocolate. Color is amber with shades of rose and copper.

Crafted by Master Distiller Maria Teresa Lara, one of the only female Master Distillers in the tequila industry. This is a limited-edition release, making it a distinguished gift for tequila aficionados and collectors.
