The Phonak Slim Tips are custom earmolds designed for use with Phonak RIC (receiver-in-canal) and BTE (behind-the-ear) hearing aids fitted with SlimTubes. They serve as a durable, personalized alternative to standard mass-produced domes, providing a secure and comfortable fit tailored to the individual ear canal.
Slim Tips are available in two primary styles: SlimTip H, a hollow shell type featuring a cavity vent for a more open sound experience, and SlimTip S, a solid earpiece offering vent options ranging from zero to 2.5 mm diameter to accommodate different hearing loss profiles. The custom earmold is fabricated from an impression of the ear canal, ensuring a precise anatomical fit that improves sound retention and wearing comfort.
These earmolds are compatible with Phonak, Unitron, and Kirkland Signature hearing aid systems using RIC-style receivers. The slim profile allows the mold to seat deeply and discreetly in the ear canal while maintaining a reliable acoustic seal. Costco Hearing Aid Centers offer custom earmold services as an accessory for compatible hearing aid purchases.
