Château de Grézels Prestige is a red wine from the Cahors appellation in Southwest France, produced by Château Saint-Didier-Parnac. The estate's 91-acre Grézels vineyard surrounds a historic 12th-century castle and benefits from the dual influence of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean climates, creating ideal conditions for growing Malbec — known locally as Côt.
This wood-aged cuvée blends approximately 70% Malbec with 30% Merlot, resulting in a ripe, full-bodied red wine with generous tannins that provide structure and aging potential. The nose offers aromas of black currant and dark berries, while the palate delivers succulent acidity, black fruit, dark chocolate, forest floor, and leather notes. The 2021 vintage was reviewed by Wine Enthusiast, which noted its freshness and described it as an excellent candidate for cellaring from 2025 onward.
Cahors is one of the world's few appellations outside Argentina where Malbec reigns as the dominant grape, producing characteristically dense, earthy, and black-fruit-forward red wines. The Prestige bottling represents the estate's top-tier expression of this terroir.
