Altocedro La Consulta Select is a Bordeaux-inspired red blend produced by Bodega Altocedro, a boutique winery nestled in La Consulta, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina. Under the direction of winemaker Karim Mussi Saffie, the estate crafts terroir-driven wines from high-altitude vineyards at approximately 3,300 feet above sea level in the Andean foothills, one of Argentina's most prestigious wine-growing sub-regions.

The wine is a co-fermentation of several noble varieties, typically including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Petit Verdot, proportions varying by vintage to best express each year's terroir. After harvest, the blend is aged 12 months in used French oak barrels, lending complexity without overwhelming the fruit character. On the nose, the wine presents ripe dark fruit, blackberry, graphite, balsamic, and mint notes with a subtle oak backdrop. On the palate, it offers a velvety texture, well-managed tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, intense finish.

The La Consulta Select has received critical acclaim with scores ranging from 91 to 94 points from Vinous, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, and The Somm Journal. It pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, lamb, and richly flavored dishes.
