Vite Colte Barbaresco Italy 750ml

Vite Colte Barbaresco is a DOCG-designated red wine from the Barbaresco appellation in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Vite Colte — whose name translates to "the art of cultivating the vine" — is a grower-owned cooperative headquartered in Barolo, founded in the 1980s (originally as Terre da Vino, renamed Vite Colte in 2016) and comprising 180 winegrowers cultivating 300 hectares of vineyard within the UNESCO Protected Wine Heritage region of Piedmont.

The La Casa in Collina expression is vinified using traditional alcoholic fermentation at 28–30°C lasting approximately 20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and up to one year of aging in large oak barrels. The result is a ruby red wine shading to garnet, with an intense and complex bouquet of ripe plum, black cherry, espresso, and tobacco. On the palate it is rich and generously structured, with sweet, well-integrated tannins, vibrant zesty acidity, and a persistent finish showing notes of vanilla and cherry.

Recent vintages have earned consistent critical recognition, including scores of 90–91 from James Suckling, Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Falstaff, and Jeb Dunnuck. Each bottle is 750ml with an alcohol content of 14% ABV. Sold as a case of 12 bottles.
