Doubleback Winery produces an estate-focused Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State's prestigious Walla Walla Valley appellation. The winery was founded by former NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe, who returned to his Walla Walla roots to craft what critics have called America's best Cabernet Sauvignon. Each vintage is offered in very limited, allocated quantities, making appearances at Costco a notable opportunity for wine enthusiasts.

The wine is full-bodied and elegantly structured, with tasting notes of cassis, raspberry, mocha, cedar, and lead pencil shavings. Wine Advocate has scored the wine in the 94–96 range, praising its beautifully textured, concentrated, and rich character with high, sweet tannins and a pure, sexy personality. It pairs exceptionally well with grilled steak, hearty pasta dishes, and rich red-meat preparations. Decanting for at least 30 minutes before serving allows the wine to open fully and reveal its complex nose of wet soil, leather, tart cherry, and cassis.
