Kunde Family Winery's Merlot is an estate-grown red wine from Sonoma Valley, California, blending 89% Merlot with 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is highly aromatic, featuring a vibrant core of red currant and raspberry on the nose. On the palate, the texture is smooth and full-bodied, delivering concentrated flavors of dark cherry and plum with a lush, creamy body. Well-structured tannins provide balance and a persistent finish.

The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels (40% new), contributing complexity and depth. It carries 14.5% alcohol by volume with residual sugar of 1.01 g/L and an acid level of 5.7 g/L. Merlot grapes are sourced from the western portion of the Kunde estate, where cool, fog-laden mornings and gentle afternoon warmth create ideal conditions for slow, even ripening. This microclimate enhances the varietal's natural richness and balanced acidity.

This wine pairs well with beef dishes such as Beef Bourguignon, roasted meats, and hearty pasta. It is available in a case of 12 bottles at 750mL each.
