Massolino Serralunga d'Alba Barolo is a prestigious Italian red wine from the Piedmont region, crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Serralunga d'Alba area. This full-bodied, classic wine is aged in large Slavonian oak casks for at least 30 months, followed by an additional 12 months of bottle aging before release.

The wine displays a complex bouquet ranging from tempting spicy notes to sweeter floral and fruity aromas, including plum, licorice, dried herbs, and a touch of earthiness. On the palate, expect bright, juicy strawberry and red cherry flavors with lots of tannins and that characteristic Nebbiolo tanginess in the finish. Well-structured and built to age, this Barolo develops even more complexity as it breathes in the glass.

The Massolino family has been producing wine in Serralunga d'Alba since 1896, with vineyard holdings in premier cru sites including Margheria, Parafada, and Vigna Rionda. Traditional winemaking techniques include long fermentation and maceration in oak fermenters at temperatures around 30°C (86°F). The wine achieves its best expression when served with red meats, particularly game, dishes dressed with truffle, fresh egg pasta with meat sauce, risotto, and medium-mature cow's milk and goat's milk cheeses.
