Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino is a prestigious red wine from the Sangiovese Grosso grape, produced on the eastern slopes of Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy — a region historically regarded as the heartland of authentic Brunello production. The Fuligni estate spans approximately 250 cultivated acres in this favored eastern sector, where the terroir consistently yields wines of exceptional elegance and longevity.
This wine is a deeply expressive Brunello, showing aromas of red roses, violets, crushed raspberries, pomegranate, and cherry, with notes of cedar, balsamic herbs, and dried wildflowers. On the palate it is full-bodied and layered, with fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish with hints of star anise, licorice root, and blood orange. Alcohol by volume is 14.5%.
Recent vintages have garnered exceptional critical acclaim, with scores of 94–97+ points from Wine Advocate, Vinous, Decanter, James Suckling, Jeb Dunnuck, and Falstaff. The wine rewards cellaring and is typically recommended for drinking from 2026 through 2040, depending on vintage. It is classified as Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, one of Italy's highest wine designations.
