Courvoisier VSOP is a classic Very Superior Old Pale cognac from one of France's Big Four cognac houses, known as "The Cognac of Napoleon." This versatile, medium-bodied spirit symbolizes the multi-layered nature of the Courvoisier blend, featuring a delicate marriage of four crus that provides subtly floral and uniquely complex richness. The cognac is skillfully crafted from eaux-de-vie sourced from Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Fins Bois growth areas, carefully aged between 8 and 12 years in proprietary French oak barrels using Tronçais and Limousin wood.

The spirit displays an amber to copper color with medium-sized droplets when swirled. On the nose, it conjures soft, luscious aromas of ripe peach, developing nutty notes and sweet caramelized flavor of toasted almonds from years in French fine-grained oak barrels. The distillation on the lees produces fruity and musky notes with an aroma of jasmine and floral elements. The palate offers a warming experience with red fruit, caramel, and hazelnut tones, plus hints of baking spice and gingerbread. The finish is lengthy with toasted almonds, toffee, stone fruits, and a dry finish of baking spice.

This 40% ABV cognac is perfect for appreciation neat, on the rocks, or as a base spirit for premium cocktails. The bottle has won numerous awards including Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2022 (92 points), San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021 Gold Medal, and SIP Awards 2022 Double Gold.
