Maison Les Alexandrins Crozes-Hermitage is a red wine from the Northern Rhône Valley in France, produced from 100% Syrah grapes grown in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. Crozes-Hermitage is the largest appellation surrounding the celebrated Hermitage hill, offering classic Rhône Syrah character at an accessible price point.
This wine shows notes of dark cherries, violets, and mild spices on the nose, with a juicy, silky palate featuring crunchy blue and purple fruit character, peppercorns, and flowers leading to a refreshing finish. It is medium to full-bodied with nicely balanced, quality tannins and a concentrated, satisfying style. Wine critic James Suckling awarded it 92 points and Jeb Dunnuck 91 points for the 2022 vintage. The wine is expected to evolve and drink well for 7–8 years or more from vintage.
Maison Les Alexandrins is a Northern Rhône producer focused on producing true and classic expressions of the region, favoring infusion over extraction to preserve the crunchiness of the Syrah and the delicate fruit of each vintage. Sold in cases of 12 x 750ml bottles.
