Romaine hearts are a crisp, versatile leafy green with a blend of sweet, nutty, and slightly bitter notes — the darker the leaf, the sweeter the flavor. With a medium crunch texture that falls between iceberg and green leaf lettuce, romaine holds up beautifully in a wide variety of dishes.

Romaine hearts are ideal as the base for a classic Caesar salad, chopped salads, or wraps, and pair wonderfully with anchovies, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, steak, and tomatoes.
