Roth Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley is a bold, full-bodied red wine crafted from select vineyard sites within Sonoma County's Alexander Valley AVA. This case of 12 bottles (750ML each) offers a premium California Bordeaux-style blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec, aged for 14 months in approximately 25% new American oak with the remainder in neutral oak.
The wine opens with dark fruit aromas of black cherry and blueberry intertwined with notes of forest floor and vanilla spice. On the palate, deep layered flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and black tea emerge, supported by soft tannins and a lingering finish of mocha. It earned a 91-point score from James Suckling.
Founded in 2001, Roth Estate was established as a bold expression of luxury Bordeaux varietals from Sonoma County. The Alexander Valley, Sonoma County's warmest AVA, provides the ideal terroir for growing concentrated, powerful Cabernet Sauvignon that rivals the finest from Napa Valley. The Russian River running through the valley creates cooler pockets and soft alluvial soils ideal for grape development.
