EnRoute "Les Pommiers" Pinot Noir is a premium California red wine from the Russian River Valley AVA, available in 6 or 12 bottle cases of 750mL each. EnRoute was founded in 2007 by the partners of Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel, two of Napa Valley's most celebrated wineries, with a singular focus on crafting world-class Pinot Noir from Sonoma's legendary Russian River Valley.
The name "Les Pommiers" — French for "the apple trees" — pays homage to the apple orchards that once covered the Russian River Valley and remain emblematic of the region. Grapes are sourced primarily from vineyards in the Green Valley and upper Middle Reach areas of the Russian River Valley, farmed using organic principles with minimal winery intervention. The wine is aged in a subtle combination of new and once-used French oak barrels to preserve the integrity of the fruit.
The 2022 vintage offers aromatics of wild raspberry, black cherry, plum, and floral notes, transitioning to mineral, spice, and toasty oak on the palate. Expect a juicy, coating entry followed by layers of raspberry and cherry fruit, clove accents, and ripe, integrated tannins with beautiful fruit purity from start to finish. Rated 93 points by Wine Spectator.
