Domaine La Boutinière is a historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate founded in 1929 by Félix Vidal in the heart of France's southern Rhône Valley. The domaine is currently managed by fourth-generation owner Frédéric Boutin, who acquired and renamed the property in 1997. The estate's 10 hectares of vines are divided across 8 parcels throughout the appellation, with some of the oldest Grenache vines dating back nearly 120 years.

This red blend is the Domaine's Tradition cuvée, crafted from approximately 70% old-vine Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and 5% Cinsault and other field-blend varietals. The wine is aged for 12 months in old foudres, demi-muids, and tanks before bottling, with an annual production of approximately 1,400 cases. The terroir features a mix of rocks, stones, sand, and clay soils characteristic of the appellation.

On the nose, the wine presents flowers, red fruits, fresh strawberry, kirsch, and herb-tinted aromas with notes of spice, lavender, and bouquet garni. The palate is medium-bodied, soft, and elegant, finishing with olive-tinged kirsch and fresh red fruits. The wine is approachable on release and benefits from 1–3 years of additional bottle age, with the best vintages drinking well for 4–8 years.

Serve at approximately 60°F (15.5°C). Pairs well with roasted, braised, and stewed meats including veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, and game. Also complements sausage, cassoulet, mushroom dishes, and hearty pasta.
