USDA Choice beef loin tri tip roast sold in full case quantities by the pound. This triangular-shaped cut from the bottom sirloin is well-marbled and flavorful, offering excellent tenderness and juiciness. The tri tip is a versatile cut ideal for grilling, roasting, or smoking.
Full case contains approximately 70 pounds of whole tri tip roasts. USDA Choice grade beef features moderate marbling for optimal flavor and tenderness. Each individual tri tip typically weighs 2-3 pounds and comes from the bottom sirloin butt section of the loin. The cut is boneless with a characteristic triangular shape and rich beefy flavor.
Best prepared by grilling at 375-425°F or roasting at 425°F until internal temperature reaches 135°F for medium-rare or 145°F for medium.
