Roth Est. Heritage Red Blend is a bold Bordeaux-style wine from Sonoma County, California, crafted by Roth Estate Winery, a family-owned producer founded in 2001 and dedicated to producing expressive Bordeaux varietals from Alexander Valley and Sonoma County's most prestigious AVAs. The wine is grown in the volcanic soils of Alexander Valley and cool lowland parcels near the Russian River, where carefully matched varietals and terroir-specific farming yield wines of intensity and complexity.
The blend is composed of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, and 6% mixed red varietals, aged in French oak to build structure and integration. The nose offers seductive aromas of milk chocolate, dried cherries, leather, tobacco, crushed cherries, and blackberry compote with hints of cinnamon. The palate is well-balanced with concentrated flavors of pomegranate, raspberry, vanilla bean, black plum, graphite, and sour cherry. Silky tannins create an elegant mouthfeel and long-lasting finish with focused acidity. Alcohol content is 14.4% by volume.
This Heritage Red pairs beautifully with grilled meats, black and blue cheeseburgers, beer-braised bratwursts, and hearty pasta dishes.
