The Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas Blanc is a Southern Rhône-inspired white blend crafted from six varieties grown at select vineyards across Paso Robles, California. The wine is anchored by Grenache Blanc (50%) for crisp acidity and rich mouthfeel, complemented by Viognier (23%) for floral aromatics and luscious stone fruit, Roussanne (10%) and Marsanne (8%) for structure and spice, and Vermentino (8%) and Bourboulenc (1%) for brightness and texture.
On the nose, the wine opens with apricot, ripe pear, and oyster shell minerality with a pithy note. The palate delivers white grapefruit, Honeycrisp apple, anise, chamomile, and orange oil, with a chalky mineral finish and lively acidity. All varietals are whole-cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel using only native yeasts to emphasize clean, crisp flavors and preserve aromatics.
The 2023 vintage produced from an exceptionally long, cool growing season with remarkable intensity and vibrancy. Bottled in May 2024 at 12.5% ABV. Pairs well with seafood, light fish, lemon chicken, and green salads with citrus dressing. The wine has earned critical acclaim including 94 points from BevX, 93 points from JamesSuckling.com, and 91 points from Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, and Owen Bargreen.
