Iris Vineyards Pinot Gris is a world-class white wine from the Willamette Valley appellation of Oregon, produced at the winery's Chalice Vineyard nestled in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range, twenty minutes southwest of Eugene. The cool-climate growing conditions allow the Pinot Gris grapes to mature slowly while maintaining the precise acid balance that defines the vineyard's signature style. The wine is crafted by winemaker Aaron Lieberman and fermented 100% in stainless steel tanks, preserving its bright, fruit-forward character. Each bottle is 750ML with a modest 12.3% alcohol by volume.
The wine pours a medium golden hue with aromas of stone fruit, pear, and peach alongside notes of lemon curd, lime zest, and wet stone. On the palate, the wine offers a pleasantly creamy texture with gripping acidity that carries through to a lingering finish of spiced cinnamon and candied lemon. It is a highly versatile wine โ enjoyable as a standalone aperitif on a warm day and equally well suited to cut through spicy Asian dishes or complement pasta with tomato basil sauce.
The Iris Vineyards Pinot Gris has earned numerous prestigious accolades across multiple vintages, including Double Gold (Best of Class, 98 points) at the Sunset International Wine Competition, Platinum at both the Great American International Wine Competition and the Boston Wine Competition, Best of Show & Double Gold at the McMinnville Wine Classic, and 93 points from the International Wine Report.
