Glenmorangie 18 Year Old Extremely Rare is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky that embodies refined complexity and exceptional craftsmanship. This distinguished expression is aged for fifteen years in used bourbon casks, then approximately 30% of the whisky is finished in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for an additional three years before being blended together.

The whisky is crafted at Scotland's Glenmorangie Distillery using malted barley and water from the Tarlogie Spring, which filters through limestone for nearly a century. It is twice distilled through Scotland's tallest copper pot stills at seventeen feet, producing a lighter and more refined spirit. This 750ml bottle contains whisky at 43% ABV (86 proof).

Tasting notes reveal layers of honey, flowers, and light toffee on the nose, with notes of mandarin, banana, apple, and pear. The palate opens with burnt apple crisp, orange zest, fudge, and candied nuts, developing into flavors of apricots, nuts, vanilla, raisins, and fudge. The finish is long and complex, lingering with touches of almonds and sweet citrus. Glenmorangie 18 Year Old earned the Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2010 and Best in Class at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in 2009.
