Lucas & Lewellen's "Cote del Sol" is a reserve-level Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the Valley View Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley AVA of Santa Barbara County. This case contains 12 bottles of 750ml each.

The Cabernet grapes for Cote del Sol — French for "side of the sun" — are hand-harvested exclusively from the south-facing side of the vines, grown on a narrow, 22-row slope of the estate vineyard. The wine is co-fermented with Syrah from the same vineyard, composed of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Syrah. It is then aged for 21 months in new French oak barrels, imparting layers of complexity and depth.

The wine presents flavors of plum, cassis, and dried herbs over rich tannins and an opulent finish, with the Syrah co-fermentation adding a spicy, jammy note. At 14.5% ABV, it is a full-bodied expression of Santa Barbara County Cabernet. Recent vintages have earned 91 points from Wine Enthusiast, including an Editor's Choice designation. The winery was founded by grape grower Louis Lucas and judge-turned-winemaker Royce Lewellen, pioneers of the Santa Barbara wine region.
