Jeff Runquist Wines' Petit Verdot from Stanislaus County, California is a bold, full-bodied red wine crafted from Petit Verdot grapes sourced from Damir Ranch in California's Central Valley. Jeff Runquist is a multi-award-winning winemaker based in Amador County, known for producing expressive, variety-forward wines at accessible price points.
This wine displays a deep purple color with magenta hues. The nose opens with ripe dark fruit aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, and dark cherry, complemented by hazelnut, light chocolate, and a hint of graphite. On the palate, flavors of savory black currant and creamy toasted oak are supported by smooth, polished tannins and a soft, round finish with lingering oak character.
The 2022 vintage earned Gold medals at both the 2025 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and the 2025 OC Fair Commercial Wine Competition.
