The Bulova Archive Series Chronograph A (model 98A253) is a bold men's timepiece inspired by Bulova's iconic diver chronographs from the 1970s. Known as the "Surfboard" design, this watch features a distinctive surfboard-shaped oval encircling the two subdials on its striking blue dial. The round stainless steel case measures 40.5mm in diameter and 14.5mm thick, paired with a blue perforated silicone strap and deployant closure.

The blue dial showcases luminous red-tipped hour and minute hands, luminous hour markers, a red chronograph second hand, and two subdials for 60-second and 60-minute chronograph functions. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while a uni-directional rotating bezel with black and red accents surrounds the case. Powered by a five-hand quartz chronograph movement, the watch also includes a tachymeter and screw-down crown. Water resistance is rated to 200 meters (660 feet).
