Domaine Le Bihan Révélation is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Touraine Chenonceaux appellation in the Loire Valley, France. Produced by Maison Le Bihan, a family estate founded in 1786 and now in its fourth generation under Romain Le Bihan, the vineyards sit on clay limestone hillside soils with an average vine age of 20 years. Grapes are farmed sustainably and the wine is aged on fine lees for 9 months in vats with no oak influence whatsoever.
Révélation shows a limpid, brilliant pale gold color. The nose is intense and expressive, full of floral aromas with notes of just-ripened golden apple, green pear, and white blossom, underpinned by a subtle herbal character. On the palate the wine is dry and harmonious, with a tangy edge and a lively, refreshing finish. Consecutive vintages — 2021 and 2022 — have each earned 90 points from Wine Enthusiast. This Costco offering is a case of 12 bottles, each 750mL.
An excellent choice as an aperitif or paired with white meats, asparagus, and seafood.
