Bouchard Père & Fils Pommard 1er Cru is a Premier Cru red Burgundy from the Pommard appellation in the Côte de Beaune, France, produced by one of Burgundy's most historic négociant-éleveurs, founded in 1731. The estate farms approximately 130 hectares of vineyards, with holdings concentrated in Premiers and Grands Crus sites across the Côte d'Or.

This wine is sourced from Premier Cru vineyards within Pommard and delivers the classic character of the appellation: a firm, structured wine built on ripe dark fruit, layered tannins, and a fresh acid backbone. Aromas of raspberry, red currant, spice, tobacco leaf, and floral notes give way to a palate of dark fruit, vanilla, and earthy, meaty complexity. The oak integration lends sandalwood and cedar nuances without overpowering the fruit.

Pommard 1er Cru is best enjoyed with a few years of cellaring to allow the tannins to integrate fully. It pairs well with roasted or braised red meats, duck, mushroom-based dishes, and aged cheeses. Drink from release through 2033 or beyond, depending on the vintage.
