Rhum Barbancourt Estate Reserve is a premium 15-year-aged Haitian rum crafted from pure sugar cane juice in the rhum agricole tradition. Produced by Société du Rhum Barbancourt, founded in 1862 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, this spirit is double-distilled to 90% ABV, reduced to approximately 50%, then aged for 15 years in French Limousin oak barrels and large oak vats. It is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).

The amber-hued rum offers a complex nose of vanilla, dried fruits such as grapes and prunes, butterscotch, and toffee. On the palate, rich fruit and baking spices dominate, with notes of caramelized brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon, marmalade, marzipan, sandalwood, and a light smokiness of dark tobacco. The finish is long, rich, and complex with lingering dried fruit notes.

Originally reserved exclusively for the Gardère family and close friends, the Estate Reserve was first released to the public in the 1960s. Each year only a limited quantity is made available, making it a sought-after spirit best enjoyed neat, like a fine cognac.
