Luciano Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore is an Italian red wine from the Veneto region, crafted using the traditional "ripasso" method in which a base Valpolicella wine is re-fermented over the leftover must (grape skins and seeds) from Amarone production. This second fermentation enriches the wine with additional sugars, tannins, and concentrated flavors, resulting in a fuller-bodied wine often referred to as a "Baby Amarone."

The wine is a blend of indigenous Veneto varieties, primarily Corvina, typically complemented by Rondinella and Corvinone. It delivers aromas and flavors of dark cherry, dried fruit, raisins, stewed figs, and subtle earthy notes with hints of cola and spice. The finish is smooth and moderately long, with a depth that surpasses standard Valpolicella at a fraction of the price of Amarone.

For best results, allow the wine to breathe for at least one to two hours before serving, as aeration opens up the fruit profile considerably. It pairs well with braised meats, pasta with rich tomato or meat sauces, aged cheeses, and hearty stews. Serve at 16–18°C (61–64°F).
