Tyrus Evan Pinot Gris is a white wine crafted by Ken Wright Cellars, a renowned Oregon winery based in Carlton. The Tyrus Evan label takes its name from the winemaker Ken Wright's two sons, Cody Tyrus and Carson Evan, and represents an approachable yet expressive style of Pacific Northwest wine. This 750ml bottle is sourced from the Willamette Valley AVA in Oregon, a region celebrated for producing elegant, cool-climate white wines.
The wine is made from 100% Pinot Gris grapes and showcases the varietal's characteristic freshness and aromatic complexity. Expect a vibrant bouquet of pineapple, Bosc pear, white peach, and grilled lemon with hints of coriander, jasmine, and honeysuckle. On the palate, it is light-bodied with gentle acidity and flavors of lemon zest, lemon butter, and Golden Delicious apple, finishing in a silky, sustained manner. Wine Spectator has awarded comparable vintages 90 points, describing the wine as "fresh and vibrant, with pretty accents of citrus, peach and fresh hay that sail on the crisp finish."
This wine pairs well with seafood, light pasta dishes, fresh cheeses, and Pacific Northwest cuisine. It is best served chilled between 45–50°F.
