Château Corbin Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émilion is a prestigious Bordeaux red wine from the Right Bank appellation of Saint-Émilion, presented here in an impressive 3-liter double magnum format. The estate holds Grand Cru Classé status in the Saint-Émilion classification and has been in continuous family ownership since 1924, now managed by fourth-generation owner and trained oenologist Anabelle Cruse Bardinet. Its origins trace back to the 15th century, with legend attributing the lands to the Black Prince during the Hundred Years War.
The wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, crafted from vineyards at the northern edge of Saint-Émilion bordering Pomerol. Anabelle harvests at optimal ripeness to produce wines that balance power with elegance, combining freshness of fruit with aromatic purity. The 2016 vintage earned 90 points from Wine Enthusiast, and the 2015 vintage is rated 4.1 on Vivino. Tasting notes consistently include notes of blackberry, plum, black cherry, chocolate, oak, tobacco, leather, and earthy smoke, with a mouth-coating tannic structure that softens beautifully with age.
The 3-liter format is ideal for large gatherings or long-term cellaring, as larger bottle formats age wine more gracefully. With approximately 13% alcohol by volume, this wine pairs exceptionally well with beef, lamb, game, and roasted poultry. Contains sulfites.
