HALL Merlot Napa Valley is a premium red wine crafted by HALL Wines, a family-owned, multi-generational winery located in St. Helena and Rutherford in the heart of Napa Valley, owned by Craig and Kathryn Hall. This full-bodied Merlot is sourced from select vineyard sites including Hardester Ranch, which produces intensely concentrated small berries with tremendous structure, and Napa River Ranch, which contributes generous red fruit and velvety texture.

The wine opens with pronounced aromas of raspberry, black cherry, cocoa, violet, and warm baking spices. On the palate, it delivers focused flavors of black raspberry jam, rose petal, mocha, creme de cassis, and dark fruit with a velvety, smooth mouthfeel and silky tannins. The wine is a blend primarily of Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, aged 16 to 22 months in French oak barrels, with 50% new French oak. Winemaker Steve Leveque avoids fining and filtration to preserve the unique character of each vineyard site. The 2018 vintage received 93 Points and Editors' Choice from Wine Enthusiast.
