Hamilton Russell Vineyards Chardonnay is an estate wine of origin from the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, one of South Africa's most celebrated cool-climate wine regions, located near Hermanus in the Cape of Good Hope. The wine is grown, made, matured, and bottled entirely on the Hamilton Russell Vineyards estate.

This Chardonnay is whole-cluster pressed and wild-fermented to dryness in barrel, then matured for 10 months in 300-liter French oak barrels with approximately 24% first-fill oak and a partial 30% malolactic fermentation. The result is a wine with crisp notes of green apple, fresh apricot, citrus, pear, and a gentle touch of vanilla and flinty reduction. It is medium-bodied with medium-plus acidity and a savory, well-defined finish. The wine carries a 94-point score from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

At 13.5% alcohol by volume, this wine pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, nutty cheeses, and seafood. Sold as a case of 6 x 750ml bottles.
