Breaux Vineyards Cabernet Franc is a red wine crafted at Breaux Vineyards, a family-owned winery located in Loudoun County, Virginia's Purcellville wine country. The winery has earned eleven medals in the Virginia Governor's Cup and other national wine competitions for their Cabernet Franc expressions.
The Cabernet Franc Reserve blend features 77% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot, 10% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 17 months in a combination of French and American oak. Aromas of black currant, licorice, and red cherry lead the palate, complemented by notes of vanilla and black pepper. The wine is described as soft, refined, and elegant, with a medium body, medium tannins, and medium-length finish. It pairs well with stuffed portobello mushrooms and lamb kebabs.
