Querciabella Chianti Classico is a celebrated red wine from the Chianti Classico DOCG zone of Tuscany, Italy, produced by the renowned Querciabella estate founded in 1974. Crafted entirely from Sangiovese grapes sourced from three of the denomination's most prized sub-zones — Greve, Gaiole, and Radda — this wine reflects Querciabella's steadfast commitment to biodynamic and organic viticulture. Winemaker Manfred Ing oversees production with a focus on terroir-driven character and natural winemaking, earning the estate consistent top-tier critical acclaim. Sold in cases of 12 x 750ML bottles.
In the glass, the wine presents a bright ruby-red color with a slight purple hue. The nose opens with aromas of rose, violet, redcurrant, fresh cherries, and juniper berries with a subtle hint of licorice. On the palate, it is juicy and expressive, confirming the red berry fruit from the nose with fine, well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity that lead to a persistent, pleasantly savory finish. Scores include 94 Points from James Suckling and 91 Points from Wine & Spirits.
Produced using no animal products or byproducts, this Chianti Classico is fully vegan-certified. Querciabella has practiced biodynamic viticulture for over a decade, prioritizing sustainability and purity. Pairs beautifully with pasta Bolognese, lasagna, herb-roasted chicken, grilled meats, Pecorino Toscano, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and a wide range of Italian cuisine.
