Valiano Pècchero is a single-varietal Cabernet Franc from the Valiano estate in Tuscany, crafted by the fifth-generation Piccini family winemaking dynasty founded in 1882. The estate's vineyards rise to 360 meters altitude in Castelnuovo Berardenga with prime south-west exposure, delivering grapes of exceptional concentration. The wine's name draws from the ancient Italian word for a large drinking vessel, conceived as a love poem dedicated to the expressive character of Cabernet Franc.

Following fermentation, the wine ages for 18 months in French oak barriques — 12 months in new barrels followed by 6 months in second and third passage barriques — lending structure and depth while preserving the variety's hallmark aromatic freshness. The nose opens with ripe plum and fresh mint intertwined with notes of toasted coffee and exotic spice. On the palate, the wine is polished and enveloping, with mint and sweet spice converging into a long, savory finish underpinned by a latent earthiness. The 2020 vintage earned 93 points from James Suckling and was praised by Wine Enthusiast for its elegance and impressively polished texture. Classified as Toscana IGT, this is a dry red wine at approximately 13.5% ABV.
