The wine is aged 16 months in 100% French oak, 40% new, which lends complexity and a refined, integrated character. On the nose, expect aromas of lead pencil, spiced red fruits, blackcurrant, and cedar. The palate delivers flavors of currant, blackberry, black pepper, and hints of cocoa and tobacco, with a chalky texture and well-integrated tannins.
