The 50 Harvests Meritage is a Napa Valley red wine produced by J. McClelland Cellars under the Scotto family label, commemorating 50 consecutive harvests in California since the family relocated from New York in 1963. This Bordeaux-style red blend is sourced primarily from the prestigious Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley and crafted through collaboration among winemakers Mark Smith, Mitch Cosentino, and Paul Scotto at Steel Canyon Cellars.

The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, delivering a medium ruby color with generous aromas of ripe plums, dusty earth, and cedar. On the palate, it showcases dark fruit and spice, with plum, raspberry, and blackberry flavors rounded out by baking spices. The wine is medium-bodied with chewy, grippy tannins and a lingering finish. It pairs especially well with hearty cold-weather meals. The 2014 vintage earned Gold at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and the 2015 vintage received high marks from James Suckling.
